Project summary:

The aim of the project is to bring about systemic changes at the regional level that respond to the current situation and improve the application of the latest knowledge and the competencies of professionals in the prevention of chronic noncommunicable diseases and the promotion of public health in Slovakia. As part of the project, study programs related to public health are being developed and innovated and based on an analysis of the lifelong learning system, a model is being created for cross-disciplinary training of experts in the field of sport for health, preventive healthcare professions, and other public health professions. At the same time, a functional system of integrated health support for citizens and local governments will be established at the regional level in the form of personalized services for the general public, which will be part of strategic public policy planning aimed at building a healthy society. The project has nationwide scope.

Project activities:

a1	Developing a range of formal secondary vocational education programs in the field of prevention and building a healthy society, in line with the needs of the 21st century and labour market requirements.
a2	Development of a model for lifelong and continuing education for professionals in sports, selected healthcare professions, and other related professions in the field of public health.
a3	Development of a functional system of integrated public health support for the population, with a focus on obesity.
a4	Development of a functional system of integrated public health support for the population, with a focus on cognitive health.
