  • Health Day in Pezinok – Launch of the „Energy of a Healthy City” Project

On August 16, 2026, the city of Pezinok opened its gates by organizing Pezinok Health Day, which marked the launch of the project under the Swiss-Slovak Health Programme – Energy of a Healthy City.

The event focused on health in its various forms—from the opportunity to have basic health indicators checked and consult with experts, to activities designed to get the body moving, as well as ways to enjoy a pleasant Sunday with the family.

Visitors were able to undergo preventive screenings and measurements free of charge—ranging from InBody and MaxPulse tests, where experts from the partner organization Harmonia Vitalis provided consultations on the results, to derma screening analyses, first-aid demonstrations by the Slovak Red Cross Youth in Pezinok, and blood glucose testing. Nutrition, health, and mental health counseling were also available, as well as healthy food tastings. Emergency services also presented their work and allowed interested visitors to take a close look at an ambulance or a police car.

However, the program wasn’t just about screenings and counseling. The day kicked off with an active jumping workout, and the afternoon was mainly dedicated to the children— „Singing with Anička“, a bouncy castle, face painting, and other activities. The event concluded with a performance by the „Na hojdačke Theater“ and their fun and educational show „KoloBEH vody“.

During the event, Kvetoslava Štrbová, Deputy Mayor of Pezinok, and Miroslava Petrušová, Head of the City Development Strategy Department, also addressed the visitors in their welcoming speaches.
