  • Decision on the Approval of Projects under Open call HLT03 “Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases in Slovak Cities”

On 28 January 2026, the Steering Committee of the Health Programme, implemented under the Swiss-Slovak Cooperation Programme, decided to approve project applications and award grants under Call HLT03 entitled “Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases in Slovak Cities.”

The call was launched on 19 May 2025 and was intended for Slovak cities and city districts with at least 20 000 inhabitants. The total financial allocation available under this call amounted to EUR 5 250 000.

The call builds on the foundations established under Programme Component 1 and focuses on establishing and maintaining a network of prevention coordinators while also supporting the implementation of targeted measures at the local level. These measures are designed to directly address the specific needs of individual cities in the area of non-communicable disease prevention and health promotion. One of the key ambitions of the call is to strengthen cooperation among stakeholders active in non-communicable disease prevention and health promotion in order to implement a wide range of measures, increase awareness and education, and protect public health, with a particular focus on hard-to-reach communities.

The call was closed on 30 September 2025. A total of 21 project applications were submitted, with a total requested amount of EUR 15 354 190. Out of these, the Steering Committee approved 7 project applications in the total amount of EUR 5 168 116.
