The main theme of the Swiss-Slovak Health Programme is prevention of non-communicable diseases and health promotion.

The programme operator is the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatisation of the Slovak Republic, which has developed the content of the programme in cooperation with the expert guarantor – the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, health departments of self-governing regions and representatives of towns and municipalities.
