  • Call BIO02 within the “Biodiversity” program is OPEN!

    The Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator ” Promoting Sustainable Tourism and Strengthening Biodiversity in Protected Areas“, announced on February 13, 2025 the open call BIO02 “Strengthening Biodiversity in Protected Areas“, the aim of the call is to support projects aimed at protecting ecosystems and biodiversity in protected areas and their surroundings in Slovakia through the protection, management and restoration of species, habitats and ecological processes, taking into account mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

    The call is open to state, regional and local administrations, universities and schools, as well as non-governmental / non-profit organizations established as legal entities in Slovakia operating in the field of environmental protection, except for the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic and national park administrations. Eligible partners are legal entities established either in Switzerland or Slovakia that effectively contribute to the implementation of projects, except for the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic. National Park Administrations are eligible partners without a project grant.

    The total allocation of the call is EUR 3.15 million, the minimum amount of the requested grant is EUR 200,000, the maximum EUR 500,000, with a 5% co-financing requirement.
