  • Decision on the approval of projects under the restricted call HLT02 “Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases in Slovak Self-Governing Regions”

On 23 October 2025 and 28 January 2026, the Steering Committee of the Health Programme, implemented under the Swiss-Slovak Cooperation Programme, decided to approve project applications and award grants under the restricted call HLT02 entitled “Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases in Slovak Self-Governing Regions.”

The first round of the restristed call was open from 19 May 2025 to 30 September 2025, and a second round was launched from 17 October 2025 to 31 December 2025. The total financial allocation was set at EUR 8 319 110.

The restricted call builds on the foundations established under Programme Component 1 and focuses on establishing and maintaining a network of prevention coordinators, as well as implementing targeted measures at the regional level. These measures are designed to directly address the specific needs of individual regions in the field of non-communicable disease prevention and/or health promotion. The initiative also aims to strengthen cooperation among stakeholders active in non-communicable disease prevention and health promotion in order to implement a wide range of measures, increase awareness and education, and protect public health, with particular emphasis on hard-to-reach communities.

All eight self-governing regions participated in the restricted call procedure. A total of 8 project applications were submitted and approved, with a total amount of EUR 8 197 551.
