Call BIO02 under the Programme “Biodiversity” Closed!

The Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator of the Programme “Promoting Sustainable Tourism and Strengthening Biodiversity in Protected Areas”, closed the open call BIO02 “Strengthening Biodiversity in Protected Areas” on 2 June 2025.

The allocation for this call amounts to EUR 3,150,000 from the Second Swiss Contribution and the State Budget of the Slovak Republic.

By the deadline for submission, a total of 24 project applications had been submitted, with a total requested grant amounting to EUR 10,505,229.45 — more than three times the available allocation for the call.

The focus of this call attracted a wide range of applicants, as illustrated by the graph below.

 

The evaluation and selection process is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025.
