Project summary:

Preservation and support of biodiversity protection, management, habitats and ecological processes, taking into account mitigation and adaptation to climate change in the NAPANT buffer zone, in the cadastre of the municipalities of Lubeľa and Liptovské Kľačany (Liptovský Mikuláš district). The aim of the project is to strengthen biodiversity in the valley of the Kráľovenka stream with the construction of cascades for fish species, small ponds for amphibians and the construction of a water area. At the same time, to support the nesting possibilities of forest bird species – songbirds, woodpeckers and owls, the production and installation of nest-boxes,construction of an ornithological observation device on the trees with online transmission of observations. An apiary will also be established to improve biodiversity and support pollinators. A separate activity will be events for the public and raising environmental awareness for the residents of the region, public and local communities.
